In 2013, Reese founded Draper James after recognizing a shifting relationship between consumers and brands Consumers were increasingly seeking brands that reflected their own values and attitudes, rather than brands that dictated a defined lifestyle. At the same time, consumers were embracing product driven DTC brands, and Reese saw an opportunity for a meaningful, consumer driven brand that was positive, welcoming, fun and feminine. She created Draper James to be an enduring brand for consumers everywhere one with attitude and integrity, inspired by her own values and style and informed by her Southern roots.
